Moons
The Solar System is full of small planet like objects called moons. There are about 171 moons in the Solar System, of which Jupiter has the most. The largest moon in the Solar System is Ganymede, a moon of Jupiter. Many moons have been formed by objects in a planets rings smashing together to form a ball of rock which then begins collecting larger pieces of rock to create a moon.
Most moons are round, but Mars has moons that are shaped like giant potatos. This is because they are actually asteriods that have been captured by Mars's gravity. Every moon in the Solar System is somehow unique, whether they are volcanicly active balls of rock like Io, or frozen balls of ice like Europa. The smallest moon in the Solar System is Deimos, a moon of Mars, that is only 13 KM in diamiter.

Titan, Saturns most famous moon, is one of the only known moons in the Solar System to have an atmosphere. It is also the second largest moon in the Solar System.
