Jupiter

Jupiter is the first outer planet, and is the largest planet in the Solar System. It is so large, that you could fit 1300 Earths inside it. If it had become 40 times larger, it would have become a star.

There are colored clouds on Jupiter. The darker red bands are called belts, and the lighter bands are called zones.

Jupiter's atmosphere is poisonous because it contains ammonia and methane. Jupiter is also known for the Great Red Spot, which is a hurricane four times the size of Earth. This storm has continued for more than 300 years. This stormy planet will never be visited by humans.

Jupiter is a Gas Giant, meaning it is made entirely of gas. It has no solid surface.
